If you have never heard of FIRST Robotics, I will tell you right now, you are missing out on something amazing.

Imagine this: You're in High School. You work with your team to build a robot. This robot weighs up to 155lbs, and can be up to 10ft tall. You have 6 weeks to build this robot. You then take this robot to a competition where thousands of other High School teams show their robots, and have them battle for days on end in large, 3v3 matches.

The Engineering. The Joy of Competing. The Atmosphere of Competition. The Rush of meeting a deadline. It was addicting.

I discovered my love for Engineering on this team, and I still give back to it by mentoring their new students every year.
